BREADA – Cultivating Local Markets

Shopper Info

What to Expect

tent2Red Stick Farmers Market is a producer-only market, which means all of the produce a farmer sells under their tent was grown on their farm. This also means you will only find seasonal produce that is native to Louisiana-no bananas or mangos here! The produce selection will vary depending on the season. Arrive early for the best variety as farmers often sell out by the end of the Market.

BREADA staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions and can be found at the Market Information Booth. Here you can purchase a cup of coffee or water and market merchandise including t-shirts, hats, and tote bags. We encourage you to bring your reusable bags to shop.

Where to Park

Free parking is available at all locations of the Red Stick Farmers Market. On Saturdays, the Galvez Garage is open and available for parking.

How to Pay

Farmers and vendors accept cash and Market tokens. If you would like to use a credit, debit or Louisiana Purchase (SNAP) card, you can swipe them at the Market Information Booth in exchange for Market Tokens. You choose the amount you would like to charge to your card ($10 minimum) plus a $1 transaction fee to help cover the credit card fees. For example, if you want to spend $20, we swipe your card for $21 and give you $20 in tokens. All vendors accept tokens, except restaurants and Arts Market vendors. Market Tokens never expire and can be used at all locations of the Red Stick Farmers Market. They also make a great gift for friends and family.

Pet Policy

no pets allowedWe have a “no pet policy” at the Red Stick Farmers Market. While we love our furry friends, we ask that you leave them at home. Thank you for your understanding.
