The Red Stick Farmers Market is a producer-only market which means all of the produce a farmer sells under their tent was grown on their farm.
At all our farmers market locations, you will find seasonal produce that is native to Louisiana - no bananas or mangos here. Though Louisiana has a robust gardening season that can bring in crops early, the harvest selection will vary depending on the season. Arrive early for the best variety as farmers often sell out by the end of the Market.
BREADA staff and volunteers are happy to answer questions and can be found at the Market Information booth. We encourage you to bring your reusable bags to shop!
Pets are not allowed at any of our markets. Sorry furry friends, but pets & produce don't mix! As a fresh food market, pets can create health & safety issues for our vendors & visitors.
FREE parking is available at all Red Stick Farmers Market locations. On Saturdays, the Galvez Parking Garage is open for parking.
All Red Stick Farmers and vendors accept cash. However, some vendors do accept credit cards through alternative personal payment methods such as Square or Venmo. If you would like to use a credit, debit or Louisiana Purchase (SNAP) card, visit the Market Information booth at every market to exchange for Market Tokens. You choose the amount you would like to charge ($10 minimum) plus a $1 transaction fee.
All market vendors accept market tokens as payment, except restaurants and Arts Market vendors. Market Tokens never expire and can be used at any Red Stick Farmers Market location.
The Arts Market is held on the first Saturday of each month (except January and April) and is operated by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. The Arts Market features a variety of hand-crafted art from local artists and creators including paintings, jewelry, photography, and pottery. Please contact them directly at artsbr.org or call 225-344-8558.
