Cantaloupe and Mint Granitas



  • 1 canatloupe, peeled, seeded, and cubed (about 4-5 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons torn mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chilled simple syrup or 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 cups crushed ice


In a blender, combine the cantaloupe, mint leaves, simple syrup or honey, lemon juice, salt until smooth.

Add the crushed ice.

Pour the granita into individual glasses and garnish with mint.


Yield 8-12 servings
