Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 pint heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon vermouth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 pound lump crab meat
Directions
1)Â Â Â Â Â Melt butter in a heavy skillet or Dutch oven.
2)Â Â Â Â Â Sautee onions and garlic until tender.
3)Â Â Â Â Â Stir in flour until combined.
4)Â Â Â Â Â Stir in cream, vermouth and lemon juice. Add cheese and stir until melted.
5)Â Â Â Â Â Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
6)Â Â Â Â Â Gently fold in crab.
Serve warm with crostini or crackers.
Yields 8 servings.
