Using SNAP Benefits and SNAP Match at the Red Stick Farmers Market
All of our farmers markets are equipped to accept SNAP (Louisiana Purchase card), WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupons.
Our Red Stick Rewards program increases SNAP customers’ buying power for fresh, healthy food by matching purchases dollar for dollar, up to $40.
The Rewards program has the dual benefit of increasing fresh food access for low income families and provides additional income for small farmers.
The Red Stick Rewards program is funded by Greaux the Good.
This program is changing starting on 03/01/2026 due to a change in our funding. The SNAP Match will now be given in red, plastic tokens that can only be used to buy fruits, vegetables, and plants that produce fruits or vegetables. The black and orange SNAP match tokens that we have been using will no longer be given out. The orange and black tokens you still have can still be used to purchase any SNAP-eligible items but they will expire on 12/31/2026 so please use them before the year is over.
