Glass Recycling Drop Off at the Red Stick Farmers Market

Start collecting your glass! We will be partnering with Glassroots to open a free glass drop-off at the Red Stick Farmers Market at 5th St. and Main St. from 8am-12pm on the last Saturday of every month.
Glassroots’ initiative utilizes a six-step method to collect glass bottles and convert them into sand and glass cullet used for coastal restoration and protection, disaster relief, eco-construction, art, and more.
They accept almost all glass bottles and containers. Please rinse any glass that contained a food product (e.g. sauce, vinaigrette) and remove any bottle caps and corks. Labels are fine– they ultimately sift them out, so there’s no need to remove them.
