1 large onion (1 1/2 cup diced onion)
- 1 bell pepper (1 cup diced bell pepper)
- 1 carrot (1 cup diced carrot)
- 1 stalk of celery (1 cup of chopped celery)
- 2 cloves of garlic (2 teaspoons, minced)
- 2 Tablespoons of oil (I use olive oil)
- Dice, chop, or mince the vegetables as listed.
- Heat the oil on medium in a small frying pan or in the bottom of a pot that you are going to use to make vegetable stock.
- Add the vegetables and sauté in oil on medium heat until the onion is translucent.
- Use when making a soup stock, sauce or whatever you want to add a delicious savory flavor.
