Summer Market Schedule Change
Summer’s intense heat is a tough time for Louisiana farmers as they begin to transition their fields from late summer crops to planting for the fall. During this time, our seasonal markets take a break as it is difficult to supply 7 weekly farmers markets with fresh produce.
The last day for all mid-week markets will be July 30th. The Thursday Market at Pennington Biomedical Research Center will reopen on August 27th. All other mid-week markets will return in the fall, with the exact date to be determined depending on weather patterns. Look for an announcement in our newsletter and on the blog for the reopen dates. Until then, the Saturday Market will be open, rain or shine, every weekend from 8 am to 12. We hope to see you there!
