225Gives is tomorrow!

You might know BREADA as the nonprofit behind the Red Stick Farmers Market, but did you know we also have a farm to school program (and much more)? Our 225Gives campaign is focused on just that this year; we hope to raise $10,000 to support the expansion of Farm Fresh Kids. Your donation will help us maintain gardens at local schools, offer hands-on tastings and cooking lessons for elementary students, and bring a farmers market experience to more than 1,000 kids.

Join BREADA & 225 Gives, a consider a thoughtful donation this year. The 3rd annual 225GIVES will be held on May 4, 2023!

Nutrition Corner

Each week, we will begin highlighting different nutrients that are found in the foods you eat and we will provide tips on how to incorporate each one into your diet! Nutrients are substances found in foods that are necessary for proper growth and functioning of the body.

They provide energy and regulate body processes. Macronutrients include carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, while micronutrients include vitamins, minerals, and water. Check back next week for more information on the benefits of each of these and how you can use seasonal produce to eat balanced meals!
